HackerOne uses 1Password to ensure secure access to AWS and beyond

About the company
HackerOne is a global leader in offensive security solutions, trusted by Fortune 100 customers and government agencies.
The challenge
HackerOne helps organizations identify and fix security vulnerabilities through its global community of ethical hackers. The company needed to secure access to sensitive apps, including AWS, by monitoring device health and browser configurations. It also wanted the ability to more precisely manage mobile access to company resources—all with minimal IT overhead.
The solution
First, HackerOne deployed 1Password Enterprise Password Manager to help employees create and use strong passwords. It then rolled out 1Password Device Trust to ensure any device accessing its systems complied with its security policies, such as having SentinelOne installed and properly configured.
Employees can self-remediate device issues thanks to 1Password Device Trust, which provides clear, actionable prompts. This streamlines access to sensitive resources from personal and company-issued devices, all while strengthening compliance and reducing IT support tickets.
The results
Ensure every sign-in is secure, and every device — including BYOD — is healthy.
Employees are empowered to fix security issues themselves, reducing IT workload and reinforcing best practices.
Granular mobile device management supports a flexible, secure access strategy.
