Nancy Wang

SVP, Engineering

Nancy Wang is the Senior Vice President of Engineering at 1Password, where she leads the company’s global engineering organization and drives its platform security and AI strategy. She holds seven patents in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and platform resiliency. At 1Password, Nancy ensures the company’s products and infrastructure remain resilient, secure, and trusted by millions of users worldwide.

Before joining 1Password, Nancy was General Manager and Director of Product & Engineering at AWS Data Protection, which she scaled from $0 to $1B ARR in five years, securing 98% of the Fortune 500. Prior to AWS, she served as Head of Cloud SaaS Products at Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK), where she launched its SaaS, Windows, and NAS product lines. Earlier in her career, she held engineering and product roles at Google, Deloitte, and the U.S. Intelligence Community. Nancy’s passion for architecting and scaling systems began in her first role at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she built and launched HealthData.gov.

In addition, Nancy serves as a Venture Partner at Felicis Ventures, advising and serving on the boards of early-stage AI infrastructure and AI cybersecurity companies, including Chalk.ai and Observo.ai. She also serves on the Technical Advisory Board of Commvault (NASDAQ: CVLT) and on the Advisory Board for the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, her alma mater.

Nancy is driven to make a difference in the overall tech community and was named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s 100 Women of Impact. Nancy is the founder, board chair, and CEO of Advancing Women in Tech (AWIT), a nonprofit that delivers leadership education programs through Coursera to over a million learners globally. She speaks at various embassies around the world on cybersecurity and AI, representing the U.S. Department of State. When she isn’t focused on scaling businesses and communities, Nancy enjoys playing tennis, savoring wine, appreciating live music, and spending time with her partner and family.
