Dr. Manoj Apte is a seasoned technology executive and strategic leader with deep expertise in cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and enterprise transformation. He was a founding member of Zscaler, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and spent over 13 years shaping the company’s product vision and go-to-market strategy. During his tenure, he played a key role in building Zscaler into a category leader in cloud security and Zero Trust architecture, while also leading functions spanning product strategy, sales engineering, analyst relations, and compliance.

Prior to Zscaler, Dr. Apte held product management and engineering leadership roles at Juniper Networks, where he launched high-performance security platforms and contributed to core networking and security technologies.

Dr. Apte currently works with emerging companies in cloud, AI, and security. He brings to boards a combination of technical depth, operational experience, and strategic insight into scaling global SaaS platforms, navigating complex enterprise environments, and driving innovation in rapidly evolving markets.

He has been an active contributor to industry initiatives such as the Cloud Security Alliance. Dr. Apte holds a Ph.D. in Computational Engineering (Machine Learning) from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay.
