Rohan "Ro" Varma leads product for Codex at OpenAI. Before Codex, he was an early PM at Cursor, where he helped shape how developers first used AI coding assistants. His work now centers on the question of what comes after the IDE: an Agent Development Environment — a system for decomposing work, running agents in parallel, maintaining context across long-running tasks, and building the trust and inspection surfaces that make autonomous coding safe enough to use in production.
